Rostock-based technology company impresses with digital EnergyCheck for the building sector
Rostock / Berlin – SkenData GmbH from Rostock was included in the “TOP TENs” list of energy efficiency at the 9th annual event of the International Energy Efficiency Cooperation Network (IEEKN) in Berlin. The list, curated by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE) and the Federal Environment Agency (UBA), recognizes outstanding technologies and services that demonstrably combine energy efficiency, cost-effectiveness and climate protection.
Digital energy efficiency is practically applicable in the building sector today
Inclusion in the “TOP TENs” list confirms SkenData’s leading position as a technology provider for digital energy efficiency in the building sector. The decision was based on the EEHub criteria: energy saving potential, ease of use, cost-effectiveness and reliability.
“This award clearly shows that digital energy efficiency is no longer a topic for the future – it can be used immediately. With EnergyCheck, we are creating a technology that makes energy efficiency scalable, reliable and directly accessible for millions of buildings,” explains Sven Jantzen, CEO, SkenData GmbH.
EnergyCheck: Award for automated building assessment
From address to energy certificate in the shortest possible time – digital and standards-based
SkenData received an award for EnergyCheck – a digital solution that provides fully automated energy KPIs for residential buildings. EnergyCheck evaluates buildings quickly and based on standards: from address entry to the officially registered energy requirement certificate. The calculation is GEG-compliant in accordance with DIN V 18599 and provides transparent, comprehensible results.
Comprehensive functions for well-founded decisions
The EnergyCheck goes beyond a pure energy assessment. The solution also provides:
- Refurbishment roadmaps with specific recommendations for measures
- Indications of potential costs and savings
- Funding analyses at federal, state and municipal level
- Solar potential analyses
The result is a directly applicable decision-making basis for energy efficiency, financing and refurbishment planning – for end customers as well as for banks, insurers and energy service providers.
Energy efficiency as the key to climate protection and profitability
“Our aim is to provide building data so precisely and intelligently that energy efficiency, climate protection, financing and insurance are not a contradiction in terms. The TOP TENs award confirms that we will continue to consistently pursue this path,” Jantzen continues.
National and international significance of the award
The presentation of the “TOP TENs” list is a central element of the IEEKN annual event. Energy efficiency is an essential building block for security of supply, climate protection targets and a future affordable energy system. The award not only underlines the leading international position of German companies in energy efficiency technologies, but also shows how solutions such as the EnergyCheck contribute to achieving international climate targets.
